Some women will experience a nearly endless period, with spotting or flow daily for weeks, to even months on end.; If that happens, the best recommendation is to have the IUD removed.; Other possible side effects include:

• Spotting between periods

I was also advised to opt for the Mirena over the smaller sister IUD, Skyla , because its more convenient to take out Mirena earlier than it is to to take out Skyla due to expiration and insert a new one.

Denial Of Mirena Crash

Many physicians will not acknowledge that the Mirena crash caused the side effects after the devices removal. They only rely on the information provided by Bayer, the producer of the product. Doctors tell women that their tests are normal and blame their symptoms on causes from anxiety to early menopause. Since every woman can experience different reactions, it makes doctorsâ diagnoses and treatment less accurate.

When To Remove Mirena

You may wish to have your IUD removed when you are ready to become pregnant. You might also need to have your IUD removed 5 years after insertion and replaced with a new one.
